Well, let me tell ya ’bout this gal, Sha’Carri Richardson. Folks sayin’ she the fastest woman in the whole wide world now. Fastest woman, imagine that! Heard she won somethin’ called the “100 meter title” at some big track and field thingy over in Hungary. Budapest, they called it.
They say she ran it in 10.65 seconds. Now, I don’t know much about runnin’, but that sounds mighty fast to me. Faster than a chicken chasin’ a bug, that’s for sure. This Sha’Carri girl, she ain’t very tall, they tell me. Only ’bout five foot somethin’, but boy, can she move them legs.
And the shoes! Oh, the shoes she wears. They’re somethin’ special, alright. Folks call ’em “spikes,” I think. Fancy green color, they are. Nike, that’s the name. Seen pictures of her wearin’ ’em in France too. Paris, to be exact. Big Olympics place, I reckon.
- She won a gold medal, they say. Shiny and bright, I bet.
- And she’s runnin’ with other gals, too. In somethin’ called a “relay,” where they pass a stick. Sounds like a game to me.
This girl, she’s somethin’ else. Not just runnin’, mind you. She’s got these long, painted nails too. My niece likes to paint her nails all sorts of colors, just like this Sha’Carri. Guess it’s the style these days. Makes her look fierce, I tell ya. Like she’s ready to take on the world.
Heard her sayin’ she ain’t just back, she’s better. Don’t know what she means by “back,” but if she’s better, then good for her, I say. This runnin’ stuff, it’s serious business, I guess. All them folks watchin’ and cheerin’. World Athletics Championship, they call it. Big doings, for sure.
She’s wearin’ fancy clothes too, not just them spikes. Seen a picture of her in a top made out of sneakers! Can you believe that? Sneakers on her feet and sneakers on her shirt! Folks are callin’ her a fashion star now, too. Guess she’s good at more than just runnin’. Give her another gold medal, they say, but for fashion this time!
And this gold medal? It’s a big deal. Means she’s the best at what she does. All that trainin’ and runnin’ paid off. Makes me think about all the hard work we do on the farm, plantin’ and harvestin’. It’s different, sure, but we work hard too.
So, this Sha’Carri Richardson, she’s somethin’ special, I reckon. A fast runnin’, fancy nail wearin’, sneaker-clothed gal. Olympic gold medalist, no less. Makes a body proud, even if I don’t know her from Adam. She’s puttin’ America on the map, they say. And with them green Nike spikes on her feet, she’s unstoppable, it seems.
Now, I hear they’re lookin’ ahead to somethin’ called “Paris 2024”. That’s the Olympics again, I figure. More runnin’, more medals, more excitement. And I bet Sha’Carri will be right there, those green spikes flashin’, showin’ the world just how fast she can be. She’s the fastest woman in the world now, and that’s somethin’ to crow about.
It’s a good thing, I think, this runnin’ and winnin’. Gives folks somethin’ to cheer for. And this Sha’Carri, she seems like a strong gal, a determined gal. Reminds me of my own mama, workin’ hard her whole life. So here’s to Sha’Carri, and her fast feet and fancy shoes. May she keep on runnin’ and keep on winnin’.
