Okay, here’s my blog post about the Ferrari 1972 Daytona Spyder, written from my personal experience:
So, I’ve been obsessed with classic cars lately, and the 1972 Ferrari Daytona Spyder has been top of my list. I mean, who wouldn’t be? That sleek body, the roar of the engine… it’s a dream car.
I started by just, you know, Googling everything I could find. Images, articles, forum posts, you name it. I really wanted to get a feel for the car, even if I couldn’t actually drive one (yet!).
Diving into the Details
I spent hours just looking at pictures, seriously. Trying to pick up the detail in the design. The curves, every vent, everything. It’s amazing, I started to picture myself restoring it from scratch.
- First, I gathered a ton of reference images. High-resolution stuff, so I could zoom in and see all the little details.
- Then, I started sketching. Just rough outlines at first, trying to get the proportions right. It’s harder than it looks!
- I moved on to more detailed drawings, focusing on specific parts like the headlights, the grille, the wheels. So much chrome!
- I watched a couple of videos and did my own sound effects! Making engine and tire sounds. I think my wife thinks I have gone crazy.
It has been fun, can’t wait to get back into it tomorrow, and maybe actually see one in real life.
