What is White Linen Scent? The Simple Guide for Beginners.

Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try making my own linen spray for a while now. I love that clean, fresh scent, especially on my bedding. So, I finally decided to give it a go, and it turned out pretty good! Here’s how I did it:

What is White Linen Scent? The Simple Guide for Beginners.

Gathering My Supplies

First, I needed to get everything together. It’s actually a pretty short list:

  • A spray bottle: I just grabbed an old one I had, making sure to wash it out really well.
  • Distilled water: I figured tap water might have stuff in it that would make it go bad faster, so I used distilled.
  • Witch hazel (or vodka): You add vodka. I have witch hazel, so I went to the cupboard to grab it.
  • Essential oils: This is where the magic happens! I wanted that “white linen” smell, so I did some digging and found out that lavender, lemon, and a touch of something clean like eucalyptus are great combo.

Mixing It Up

Once I had my ingredients, it was time to mix. This is the part where I was a bit nervous, not wanting to mess it up, but honestly, it was super easy.

  1. I filled my spary bottle most way with distilled water.
  2. I added a little bit of witch hazel. Maybe two or three tablespoons? I didn’t measure exactly.
  3. Then came the fun part – the essential oils! I started with about 15 drops of lavender, 10 drops of lemon. Then I added like 5 drops of eucalyptus, just to give it that extra crispness.
  4. I put the top back on the bottle and gave it a good shake. Gotta make sure everything is mixed properly!

Testing and Tweaking

Of course, I had to test it out right away! I sprayed a little on a pillowcase and… it was pretty good! But I thought it could use a little more lemon, so I added a few more drops. You really just have to play around with it until you get the scent you like.

The Final Result

After a bit of tweaking, I was happy with my creation! It smells so clean and fresh, just like I wanted. I’ve been spraying it on my sheets and towels, and it makes everything feel so much more luxurious. Plus, it was way cheaper than buying a fancy linen spray from the store.

I’m definitely going to keep making this stuff. It’s easy, affordable, and I can customize the scent exactly how I want it. If you’re looking for a simple way to freshen up your home, I totally recommend giving this a try!
