Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “The Walrus Room Belgium” thing pop up all over my feeds, and I finally decided to dive in and see what all the fuss was about. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first, but I’m always up for trying something new.

Getting Started

First things first, I needed to figure out what this actually was. Turns out, it’s some kind of… immersive experience? Art installation? Escape room-ish thing? It was hard to pin down from the descriptions online, which, honestly, just made me more curious.

I did some digging, checked out a few websites, and found the booking page. It looked pretty straightforward, so I grabbed a couple of friends (strength in numbers, right?) and we picked a time slot. Payment was easy, standard online stuff.

The Experience Itself

We showed up at the location, and it was… unassuming. Like, you wouldn’t know it was there unless you were looking for it. A bit mysterious, which I kinda liked.

We were greeted by a person , they give very brief introduction about the event. then let us in. I won’t spoil any of the actual content, but let me tell you, it was weird. In a good way! It definitely felt like stepping into another world. We explored different rooms, solved some puzzles, and generally just tried to figure out what the heck was going on.

There were moments of confusion, a few “aha!” moments, and a whole lot of “what is even happening right now?” It was definitely interactive, we had to touch things, move things around, and really use our brains (and sometimes, our bodies!).

Final Thoughts

  • Unique: Definitely unlike anything I’ve done before.
  • Immersive: They really nail the atmosphere. You feel like you’re in it.
  • Challenging: Not in a frustrating way, but it definitely makes you think.
  • Confusing: The instruction is not so clear, we stuck in the middle of process.
  • Fun: We laughed a lot, even when we were completely lost.

Would I recommend it? Yeah, I think so. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking for something different, something that will push you out of your comfort zone and make you think, then give it a shot. Just be prepared for a bit of weirdness!
